VAG software updates for supported Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT and Škoda vehicles at our Redditch workshop. We update infotainment systems and SOS emergency call modules where suitable software is available for your vehicle. Prices start from £80 + VAT.

Infotainment and SOS module software updates

We check your vehicle’s current software and the available update route before carrying out the work. This service covers supported infotainment software updates and SOS module software updates across a wide range of VW, Audi, SEAT and Škoda models. Availability depends on the vehicle, fitted hardware and current software version.

We do not carry out software updates on EVs or fully electric vehicles. Please send your VIN before booking so we can confirm whether your vehicle and system are supported.

How much does a VAG software update cost?

The starting price is £80 + VAT (£96 including VAT). The final price depends on the number of software updates required, rather than simply the number of modules. An older software version may need two or three updates in sequence, while a newer version may only require one.

We confirm the required update stages and total price with you before starting. The £80 + VAT starting price is not a fixed price for every vehicle or update route. Please contact us for confirmation before purchasing or booking.

How long does it take?

Allow approximately 30 minutes to 4 hours, depending on the software currently installed and the update stages needed. We advise you of the expected workshop time when arranging your appointment.

Workshop service only — no software supplied

Your vehicle must be brought to our workshop in Redditch. We do not sell, supply, share or send software files, copies or download links. This is an installation service carried out on your vehicle, not a software download or mail-order product. We do not offer postal or remote software updates.

SOS warnings and infotainment faults

A suitable software update may be appropriate for certain system issues, but it is not a guaranteed repair for every warning or fault. SOS faults can also require diagnosis, a battery replacement or hardware repair. Any additional work is discussed and quoted separately.

This service does not include activation of paid features such as App-Connect or CarPlay, or replacement hardware, unless separately agreed.
