Description
Lane Assist Camera Calibration in Redditch
We provide professional Lane Assist camera calibration for selected Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, CUPRA and Škoda vehicles at our workshop in Redditch. We use specialist ADAS equipment and confirm the correct procedure by VIN. After successful calibration, you will receive a report confirming the results.
When Is Lane Assist Camera Calibration Required?
Calibration may be required after replacing or removing the front driver-assistance camera, accident damage, suspension changes, wheel alignment or repairs, or when diagnostic faults indicate incorrect camera alignment. A warning message does not always mean that calibration alone will solve the problem. A damaged camera, mounting point, wiring fault, incorrect coding or another vehicle fault may require diagnosis or repair first.
Lane Assist Camera Calibration: Supported Vehicles
This service is available for selected Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, CUPRA and Škoda vehicles equipped with a supported forward-facing driver-assistance camera. The A5 designation refers to the camera system, not only the Audi A5 vehicle model. We confirm compatibility and the required procedure using your VIN.
An Audi pre sense fault does not automatically mean that the camera needs calibration. We check the fault information and affected system first. Read our Audi pre sense fault diagnosis and calibration information.
Vehicle Preparation for Lane Assist Camera Calibration
For an accurate calibration, the vehicle must arrive in the correct condition:
- Remove unnecessary tools, luggage and heavy items.
- Make sure the tyres are correctly inflated and wheel fitment is suitable.
- Ensure that suspension and steering components are in good condition.
- Complete wheel alignment first if the vehicle has suffered accident damage, suspension repairs or lowering.
- Make sure there is sufficient clearance around the wheels for calibration equipment.
If the vehicle is lowered, we require approximately 20 mm of clearance between the tyre and wheel arch for the wheel clamps. Please contact us beforehand if you are unsure.
Diagnosis Before Camera Calibration
We carry out an initial diagnostic check before attempting calibration. If the camera cannot be calibrated because of another fault, we will explain what requires attention. Any additional investigation, coding, repairs or replacement parts will be discussed separately before work proceeds.
Lane Assist Camera Calibration Process
- Send us your VIN, registration number and fault details.
- We confirm whether the vehicle and camera system are supported.
- Bring the vehicle to our workshop in Redditch.
- We inspect the vehicle and perform a diagnostic scan.
- The vehicle and calibration equipment are positioned according to the required procedure.
- We calibrate the camera and verify the result.
- A calibration report is provided after successful completion.
The procedure normally takes approximately one to two hours. Additional diagnosis or repairs may increase the required time.
Lane Assist Camera Calibration: Price and Payment
The price is £150 plus VAT for the supported front camera calibration service. This is not a fixed-price promise to repair every warning or a combined radar-and-camera package. Any additional work is discussed separately.
Payment is taken at the workshop after the required work has been confirmed. Please contact us before booking rather than purchasing the service online.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Lane Assist warning always mean that calibration is needed?
No. Diagnosis may be required first to identify the affected system and cause. Calibration is carried out when required by the diagnosis.
Is A5 camera calibration only for the Audi A5?
No. A5 refers to the front driver-assistance camera system, not a single car model. Vehicle compatibility is checked by VIN.
Will I receive confirmation of the calibration?
Yes. A calibration report is supplied after successful completion.
Can you calibrate lowered vehicles?
Possibly. The vehicle must have sufficient clearance for the wheel-mounted equipment, and its wheel alignment must be correct. Contact us with details before booking.
Is calibration covered indefinitely?
Calibration confirms the camera alignment at the time the procedure is completed. Later accident damage, impact, suspension or wheel-alignment changes, or movement of the camera or mounting point can affect calibration again. Contact us promptly if a warning returns after the service.
