MIB2 CarPlay Activation for VW, SEAT & Škoda

Description

MIB2 CarPlay activation for compatible Volkswagen, SEAT and Škoda vehicles with a MIB2 navigation system. We activate smartphone connectivity through App-Connect or Full Link at our Redditch workshop. The price is £85 excluding VAT, including workshop coding. No parts or postal kit are included.

MIB2 CarPlay activation and smartphone connectivity

Use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on a supported MIB2 system with a compatible phone and USB connection. This service activates the existing infotainment unit rather than replacing the screen or head unit. It is not a wireless CarPlay conversion.

Voice Control and Performance Monitor activation can also be included where supported by the system and vehicle. Available functions depend on the installed hardware and software. Older MirrorLink support is device-dependent; do not assume it will work with your current phone.

Check your MIB2 system before ordering

This listing is for supported VW, SEAT and Škoda cars equipped with MIB2 navigation. It is not a general activation service for every Volkswagen Group radio, MIB1 or MIB3 unit. Please contact us before buying so we can confirm your system is suitable.

Send your vehicle’s VIN and a clear photograph of the infotainment software information. On supported units, press and hold the MENU button until the service menu appears, then select Software Update/Version. Send the details shown on the screen; do not start a software update yourself.

USB requirements for MIB2 CarPlay activation

Some SEAT and Škoda systems require a compatible MIB2 USB port for smartphone connectivity. A replacement USB port is not included in the £85 activation price. If your vehicle needs one, we will confirm this before the appointment.

Workshop activation, price and booking

£85 excluding VAT includes coding at our Redditch workshop. Allow approximately 20–40 minutes, depending on your software version. You must bring the vehicle to us by appointment. Nothing will be posted, and this listing does not include remote activation or replacement hardware.
