Please contact us before purchasing or buying a replacement cluster. We need to confirm that the unit you intend to supply is suitable for your car. Any work beyond the agreed coding service must be discussed and quoted separately.

Vehicle and instrument cluster compatibility

The service is aimed at supported Golf MK5 vehicles from the 2004–2009 range. Compatibility depends on the vehicle and the replacement cluster, so we do not guarantee that every GTI cluster will work in every Golf MK5.

To operate the Highline trip-computer functions, the vehicle needs a suitable stalk with trip-computer buttons or a compatible multifunction steering wheel. If these controls are missing, discuss the requirements with us before booking.

Workshop appointment and what to bring

Bring your vehicle and the customer-supplied replacement cluster to our workshop in Redditch by appointment. Allow approximately 30 minutes for a typical coding appointment, subject to compatibility and the work required. This is a workshop service, not a postal product: nothing will be shipped after purchase.

Send your VIN, vehicle year and photos or part numbers of both the current and replacement clusters before booking. We will confirm the requirements for your specific vehicle.
