Upgraded CAN Gateway kit for compatible Volkswagen, SEAT and Škoda vehicles receiving a newer infotainment head unit. Supplied as a used replacement module, this upgrade addresses head-unit shutdown problems caused by an incompatible older gateway.
Why fit an upgraded CAN Gateway kit?
Some older vehicles, particularly those built before 2008, may need a compatible replacement CAN Gateway when a newer head unit is installed. An unsuitable gateway can prevent the head unit from shutting down correctly after the ignition is switched off, leaving it drawing power and potentially draining the battery while parked.
A correctly matched gateway upgrade is intended to address this specific compatibility issue. It is not a universal cure for battery drain: other electrical faults or battery problems require separate investigation.

Price, condition and installation
The price is £100 + VAT for the upgraded CAN Gateway kit. Fitting at our Redditch workshop is included at no additional charge. The supplied module is used, not new.
