Description

Polo AW camera retrofit for compatible vehicles built from April 2024 onwards. The price includes an OEM reverse camera, installation, SFD2 parameterisation and coding at our Redditch workshop.

The system activates automatically when reverse gear is selected and provides a clear view behind the vehicle. Static guide lines help the driver judge distance and position during parking and low-speed manoeuvring.

The camera is integrated into the rear VW badge and the image is displayed directly on the vehicle’s compatible factory infotainment system. No separate monitor or aftermarket screen is required, and the original parking sensor visualisation is retained where fitted.

Compatibility from April 2024 onwards

This Polo AW camera retrofit is intended for compatible vehicles built from April 2024 onwards using the newer SFD2 / UN-ECE security architecture. Although the camera can look similar to the system used in earlier cars, the hardware, parameterisation and coding process are different.

Vehicles produced around the model changeover may require additional verification. Please contact us with the VIN number so we can check the vehicle specification and infotainment compatibility.

Workshop installation and coding

The displayed price includes the camera, installation, parameterisation and coding at our Redditch workshop. This is a workshop-based retrofit service; no parts will be posted after purchase and the vehicle must be brought to us for installation.

Fitting normally takes up to two hours. After installation, we carry out a complete function test and confirm correct operation with the vehicle’s display and parking assistance system where fitted.
