How Blind Spot monitoring works

The system monitors traffic beside and behind the vehicle and uses a warning light in the exterior mirror to alert you to a detected vehicle in the monitored area. The exact indications depend on vehicle specification.

Side Assist supports your observations; it does not replace checking your mirrors and blind spots before changing lanes.

Compatibility and fitting time

Parts are ordered after checking your VIN. Allow approximately 3–21 working days for availability; we confirm the actual appointment when the parts are available.

Fitting and coding normally take approximately 8 hours. Leave the vehicle at our Redditch workshop for the agreed appointment.

Workshop service only: the vehicle must attend. This is not a kit supplied by post or a remote activation service. Photographs are examples; the finished appearance and displays depend on the vehicle.
