Air Conditioning system in your car is essential for a comfortable and enjoyable driving experience. Whether you‘re tackling the summer heat or clearing foggy windows in winter, air conditioning will assist you with your journey. Most manufacturers require to service it every 2 years. It is not only to ensure your comfort, but as part of this service, compressor gets new oil with it. Compressor, same as your engine, require oil replacement from time to time. Otherwise, it will just fail, running dry, and will only cost you more money to fix it.
All vehicles manufactured from January 2017 with air conditioning require the new R1234YF air con gas which is more environmentally friendly. R134A gas is common in vehicles manufactured before 2014 when manufacturers started to phase in the new F–gas. Vehicles built between 2014 and 2016 could have either. We can re–charge / re–gas either of them in our workshop in Redditch. This we do with our top of the range TEXA Konfort 780 Touch Bi–Gas machine. This machine allows us to work with both, R134a and R1234yf gasses and so far it is most accurate on the market.
